The Beam

The Beam a science nonfiction road film–– follows the largely invisible NOVA experiment path over 550 miles, from Illinois to Northern Minnesota – in search of something that’s everywhere: neutrinos. Neutrinos are the tiny subatomic particles that fill our world, unbothered by matter or its related matters. Searching for evidence of the subatomic particle in the midwest landscape, and exploring elements of knowledge production imbedded in the architecture, communities and industry that live in the path of the experiment’s research –– The Beam questions our understanding of the non-visible, the power of sensing and subsequently, the mystery and suspicion inherent in the unknown..
